Our very large and professional global law firm is seeking a 5+ year hybrid Law Firm Sr. Docketing Manager for their Los Angeles, California office.  This company has been recognized for Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work at for 20+ years in a row.  This position will oversee 9 of their legal offices. Hybrid Sr. Docketing Manager Role
Candidate will be responsible for overseeing 9 legal offices
Responsibilities include providing comprehensive litigation tracking of California court deadlines, maintenance and updating of the firm’s litigation calendar/docket,
Manages docketing inquiries, responsibilities, and processes across nine U.S. offices
Candidate will have oversight of daily workflow and provide guidance to current staff
Prepares and coordinates docket calendar events for a group of attorneys and legal assistants
Answer court-related inquiries from docketing assistants, attorneys, paralegals and legal administrative assistants
Responsible for reviewing all litigation documents, including those being delivered by overnight services, electronic deliveries to dept, email account, ECF filing, and hand deliveries
Calculating deadline dates and inputting information into the firms docketing database
Generates reports detailing action items and due dates
Advise attorneys of issues relevant to clearing the docket and de-docket actions as needed
Research State, Federal, Appellate and Local Court Rules and review Court Orders to insure accurate deadlines
Maintain the integrity of the docketing/calendaring system and perform quality assurance/quality checks of all entries entered daily
Coordinate and conduct ongoing effective firm training programs on docketing systems, policies and protocols to docketing assistants, attorneys, paralegals, and legal administrative assistants
Act as a resource regarding all types of court filings, questions from Administrative Department staff, attorneys, and other docketing professionals
Resolve court filing questions and ensure court filings are completed accurately
Communicating directly with court/administrative offices to confirm rules and procedures
Communicate with litigation teams in advance of filings, coordinating staff and resources needed for filing, confirming cite-checking has been completed, review the filing for conformity with court rules, filing with the court, delivering courtesy and service copies
Maintain accurate CA attorney filing credentials, create court admission accounts for CA attorneys and troubleshoot credential issues

Hybrid Sr. Docketing Manager Background
Strong knowledge of California court rules is a must
Minimum 5 years of legal experience preferred
JD is highly preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Strong organizational skills
Working knowledge of litigation process, legal terminology, legal and court procedures, docket and records management and CA filing processes
Knowledge of eDockets/ALN preferred, or similar docketing/calendaring database
A high degree of integrity and the ability to disperse accurate and timely information to attorneys, legal assistants, and docketing assistant teams
