Human Resource Generalist
Our client, located in NW Houston, TX, is in need of a Human Resource Generalist for a Direct hire opportunity with a fantastic organization.

Your Role:
The main purpose of this role is to work directly with the VP of HR to help develop and implement all of the HR policies and the compliance for the organization.
This is a true generalist role that will cover employee relations, workforce planning and recruitment, comp planning, organizational development and change management
Will travel to field offices
Constant communication with field supervisors and employees
Will work with the internal recruiter to manage the recruitment process for the assigned area
Will handle all employee relations for assigned business unit. This includes grievances, investigations, documentation, counseling and resolution
Work with agencies such as TWC, OSHA, DOL, EEOC, etc.
HR reporting for your assigned area
Additional corporate projects

Background Profile:
5+ years of HR experience in a generalist role
Bachelor’ s degree is required for this role
Must be available to travel up to 25% of the time, some of which is with little notice
Must have some experience with mergers and acquisitions
PHR certification is a plus
Experience supporting a workforce that is spread out among other offices would be ideal
Must possess a strong understanding of federal, state and local HR and employment laws such as FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc. 
Strong communication skills
Strong leadership ability is ideal for this role because this role has the potential to grow into an HR business partner position
