Human Resources Assistant Role:
In this role, you will wear many hats and assist with many HR functions.
You will respond to employee questions on benefits, HR policies and procedures, as well as handle payroll, assist with recruitment efforts, training and development, process employee changes in their HRIS system, check references, etc.
Oversee HR communication channels, including the HR shared mailbox and HR hotline.
Provide daily support to employees by addressing questions related to payroll, benefits, employee perks, paid time off (PTO), learning and development, and company policies.
Manage the complete employment status change process.
Handle the full bi-weekly payroll process.
Update and maintain the company’s HRIS platform, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Keep employee personnel files up-to-date.
Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Manager to implement talent strategies, including sourcing, recruiting, and managing the end-to-end candidate pre-screening process.
Work with the Learning and Development Manager to develop training content and materials for the company’s training program.
Human Resources Assistant Background Profile:
High School Diploma or the equivalent
Associate’s degree in HR or a related field is a plus
3+ years’ experience in HR administrative work with working knowledge of HR standard practices
Multi-state payroll experience is a requirement
HRIS experience
Experience with Ceredian Dayforce HRIS system is a plus
MS Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Fast learner with the ability to learn and understand the company’s organizational structure, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and administrative practices in conjunction with these things
Able to work and meet deadlines with excellent time management skills
