Great opportunity for a Human Resources Assistant in Dallas, TX on a contract to possible hire basis.

Company Profile:
An industrial recycling company with locations across the United States, committed to improving the environment. 

Human Resources Assistant Role:
The HR Assistant will provide clerical and administrative support to the HR Department.
Maintain department expense and budget records; review cost and enter invoices into SAP
Maintain applicant flow logs, applicant files, personnel files, absence and vacation records
Handle pre-hire requests such as arranging and coordinating physicals, drug screens, and background checks
Draw numbers for daily random drug testing for Dallas area facilities according to company policy and federal regulations
Record and maintain records on numbers drawn for random drug testing and on clinical documentation
Distribute new and temporary security access cards
Maintain employee card number and temporary card documentation for reports, communicating changes in card number and access levels to building security when necessary
Maintain security system for night and weekend taping; coordinate with building security and outside security vendor on problems with computer security system
Coordinate with office vendors such as vending machine vendor, bottled water vendor, etc.
Assists as a back-up to employee data input into SAP
Administer Service Anniversary Award program
Process educational assistance documents
Route incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail
Rotate duties in mailroom and switchboard
Extensive filing
Manage inventory and order supplies
Special projects as assigned

Human Resources Assistant Background Profile:
The HR Assistant will have a High School diploma or equivalent
Some college coursework a plus
2 - 5 years’ experience as an administrative assistant in HR preferred
Warm, friendly personality with great verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
SAP experience is a plus
