Hispanic Foods Buyer
Our client in Cincinnati, OH has an immediate opening for a Hispanic Foods Buyer on a direct hire basis.

Hispanic Foods Buyer:
The Hispanic Foods Buyer plays a crucial role in our grocery retail operations, focusing primarily on Hispanic, Central, and South American foods. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish and English, possess strong negotiation skills, and have a passion for international cuisine.
Manage the procurement of Hispanic, Central, and South American food categories.
Place orders, monitor inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery.
Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms.
Maintain compliance with FIFO and Rotation processes.
Oversee back room and floor inventory management.
Collaborate with other departments to optimize product offerings and promotions.
Train and supervise a team of staff in buying-related activities.
Conduct employee reviews and provide ongoing training and development.
Participate in bi-monthly meetings and competitor store price walks.
Attend trade shows and assist in setting retail prices and writing advertisements.
Ensure cleanliness and organization within designated areas.
Support store transfers and maintain communication with other locations.

Hispanic Foods Buyer Background Profile:
Minimum 5 years of experience in retail grocery buying or a related field.
Must be Bilingual - English and Spanish
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Proven track record in growing product categories and achieving sales targets.
Ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds and work in varying temperature environments.
Proficiency with office computer skills, including Google Docs and Spreadsheets.
Experience with inventory management software and retail pricing strategies.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
