HR Manager Role:
The HR Manager will lead and support the Human Resources function with a strong focus on employee relations, HR strategy, compliance, reporting, and process improvement. This HR Manager will partner closely with leadership, supervisors, and HR staff to ensure alignment across all HR operations.
Leading employee relations initiatives, investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management escalations
Ensuring consistent enforcement of policies and procedures across a manufacturing workforce
Serving as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees
Developing and implementing HR best practices and standard operating procedures
Identifying and executing HR process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
Maintaining HR metrics including turnover, retention, staffing analysis, and compliance tracking
Creating dashboards and analytics to support data-driven decision-making
Supporting workforce planning and organizational strategy
Building and supporting training, development, and succession planning programs
Ensuring HR compliance, audit readiness, and accurate documentation practices
Assisting with union-related compliance as needed
Providing leadership and mentorship to HR staff
Supporting onboarding and HR administration processes
HR Manager Background Profile:
5+ years of HR experience required
Manufacturing industry experience required
Paylocity experience
Waste management industry experience a strong plus
Strong background in employee relations and HR operations
Experience managing HR compliance, reporting, and performance management
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
