Senior Director of Information Technology Role:
The Senior Director of Information Technology leads enterprise-wide digital strategy, infrastructure, and innovation initiatives that empower business growth and operational excellence. This executive role combines strategic vision, technical leadership, and hands-on execution to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing systems across all core business functions.
Lead the enterprise technology organization, overseeing infrastructure, software development, and data management teams to deliver results aligned with business goals.
Develop and execute a multi-year technology roadmap that supports company growth, operational efficiency, and customer experience objectives.
Manage IT operating and capital budgets, driving disciplined technology investments and measurable ROI.
Build and advance the company’s data governance framework and analytics capabilities to enable fact-based decision-making.
Direct cybersecurity strategy to safeguard company data, systems, and customer information through robust risk management practices.
Oversee key retail technology platforms, including POS, digital commerce, supply chain, and pricing systems, ensuring performance, scalability, and modernization.
Collaborate with Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, and Finance to design innovative solutions that enhance business performance and customer journey.
Drive organizational change management to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes across store and support teams.
Identify and implement emerging technologies that enhance competitive advantage, efficiency, and long-term growth.
Lead and mentor a high-performing IT organization, emphasizing accountability, innovation, and professional development.
Direct project management efforts across the technology portfolio to ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality delivery.
Oversee the continuous improvement of enterprise information systems, including databases, integration, analytics, and application development (web and mobile).
Communicate effectively with executive leadership to align technology priorities with business strategy and performance metrics.
Translate complex technical topics into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
Promote a culture of collaboration, integrity, and excellence throughout the IT department.
Senior Director of Information Technology Background Profile:
Bachelor or Master Degree’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
10+ years in IT management, including 5+ years leading software development and technology teams.
Expertise in enterprise architecture, systems integration, and scalability design.
Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity, compliance, and governance frameworks.
Proficient in database management (Microsoft SQL Server preferred), ETL processes, and application development (Windows, Web, and Mobile).
Prior experience in retail or grocery operations preferred.
Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and communicate across organizational levels.
Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation initiatives and delivering enterprise solutions that enhance business outcomes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a track record of scalable technology implementation.

Mike has a passion for community service, having served as a board member for the Bear Creek Specialty Utility District (formerly Lavon Water Supply Corporation) from 2007-2013; Community Independent School District board trustee from 2013-2017; and currently serves as Lavon City Councilman, Place 2 since 2017.
