Our client in New Orleans, LA, is currently seeking a District Manager for a full-time, direct-hire position.

Position Overview:
The District Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and strategic performance of 8-10 grocery stores in a designated region. This role entails ensuring the consistent adherence to company standards, financial objectives, and customer satisfaction across all locations. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of operational expertise, strong leadership skills, and a customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all aspects of store operations in the assigned district, including sales, merchandising, staffing, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance sales, profitability, and market share.
- Provide leadership, training, and motivation to store managers to achieve operational and financial targets.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and uphold brand consistency.
- Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and implement corrective measures as necessary.
- Collaborate with HR and training departments to recruit and nurture high-performing store leaders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and local statutes.
- Manage inventory control, reduce shrinkage, and oversee cost management initiatives.
- Support the implementation of corporate programs, seasonal promotions, and new store launches.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in multi-unit management within the grocery retail industry or a similar setting.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving financial and operational goals.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in interpreting financial data and planning accordingly.
- Familiarity with retail management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the district.

Mike has a passion for community service, having served as a board member for the Bear Creek Specialty Utility District (formerly Lavon Water Supply Corporation) from 2007-2013; Community Independent School District board trustee from 2013-2017; and currently serves as Lavon City Councilman, Place 2 since 2017.
