Job Description

Geotechnical Engineer
Our established Dallas, TX, Geotechnical Engineering client is looking to hire a full-time Geotechnical Engineer to join their team on a direct hire basis.

Geotechnical Engineer Role:
Plan and conduct geotechnical exploration effectively
Perform geotechnical field investigations for construction projects
Perform geotechnical analysis and study to assess construction site condition
Assist project professionals with project execution, proposal and report preparation
Interpret field data and assign laboratory testing
Coordinate required testing/sampling with drill crews and assist with field activities as necessary
Execute smaller projects to gain experience in project management
Communicate results of field and laboratory testing, and geotechnical recommendations, to clients
Prepare geotechnical reports
Assist with field activities during construction

Geotechnical Engineer Background Profile:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) ABET or an accredited four-year college or university in civil engineering. Master’s level degree or exposure to core civil engineering disciplines through coursework (M.S. or Ph.D.) in geotechnical engineering preferred
Minimum 2 years' experience
Familiarity with modern office tools including the use of computer-based programs such as gINT, DARWin, SLOPE/W, VOLFLO, gSTABL, SLIDE, Microsoft Excel, etc (required)
Ability to obtain Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure in Texas within 2 years of employment
Possession of a valid Texas driver license and a acceptable driving record
