Our client in Dallas, TX has an immediate need for a Finance and Accounting Director on a direct hire basis.

Finance and Accounting Director Role:
In this role, you will report to the Controller and work closely with the CFO.
You will be an active member of the leadership team, with oversight of all finance, accounting, and reporting activities.
You will work closely with other members and leaders of the company.
Lead day to day financial operations and supervise a team including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and any other oversight of company consultants for IT implementation or other processes need.
Responsible for making sure the company has the systems and procedures in place so that accurate financial reporting is ensured.
Responsible for ensuring that the company is always prepared for flawless audits and reviews.
Lead, supervise, and enforce accountability among staff members. When deemed necessary, engage in recruiting, hiring, and training of new personnel.
Act as an integral member of the company’s leadership team, actively participating in Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual meetings as required. This includes embodying the company’s core values by consistently exemplifying them in your actions.
Oversee the timely and accurate development of weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports to assess and steer the business across multiple operational entities.
Supervise Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Cash Flow Statements, various Tax Returns, compliance with local tax regulations, Annual Budgeting, Monthly Forecasting, and other pertinent financial aspects.
Utilize existing metrics and propose new ones to effectively manage the company's monthly cash flow and working capital. Collaborate with the President, CFO, and managers to make necessary adjustments influencing working capital, such as A/R, A/P aging, WIP, Line of Credit, and similar factors.
Manage routine external audits and reviews conducted by accounting firms.
Oversee potential state/federal regulatory audits that may be initiated periodically.
Develop presentations and reports, actively participating in regular meetings with the Leadership Team and operational managers to address department-specific or financially-related matters. 
Identify trends or issues necessitating correction and collaborate with managers and the President to implement solutions.
Evaluate upcoming prospects for enhanced operational efficiency, margin growth, and cost reduction.
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities related to various departmental contracts, expenditures, and expenses.
Execute various financial models as required by the company, in conjunction with the CFO and Controller.
Collaborate with the CFO and Controller to manage and nurture banking relationships, including reporting on covenant adherence and maintaining compliance.
Assist the Leadership Team in evaluating and integrating M&A opportunities.
Administer cloud-based ERP systems and serve as the primary point of contact for external providers.
Oversee the management and administration of various professional service vendors.


Finance and Accounting Director Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or a related field
CPA is preferred, or CPA candidate is preferred
5-10 years’ experience with finance and accounting oversight
Experience with NetSuite and/or Concur is a plus
Wealth Management, Investment Management, or Insurance experience/background is a plus!
Strong management and leadership skills and experience – leading and managing an accounting team including hiring, training, and developing talent.
MS Office Suite – Advanced Excel skills required.
ERP experience
Successful track record and experience managing financials.
Strong understanding of financial and accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
Strong understanding of economic principles, financial markets, and banking.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross functionally. Ability to present information to all levels of employees in a way that all can understand.
Well organized with the ability to prioritize.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a deadline driven environment and in a company that is growing quickly.
Knowledge and understanding of financial data analysis and reporting, as well as payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Knowledge of federal regulation on taxes and reporting.
Proven experience in financial project management.
