Our Coppell, TX client is on the hunt for an Event Director to join their team on a direct hire basis.   What a fun opportunity to help build this growing company’ s market perception.

Event Director Role:
The Event Director will be responsible for overseeing an annual conference for approximately 4000 people and an annual Leadership conference for approximately 400 people, in addition to other events.
The ideal person in this role will not only have experience and know how to handle the logistics of event planning, but have experience with the strategic side of things as well and the ability to work with Sales and Marketing on a strategic level.   This role will have one direct report and 2 indirect reports.
Directly responsible for leading and executing many brand-building conference and events to help drive a growing salesforce.
Create the vibe for the event and ensure that all event goals are met.
Plan and influence leadership and national conference teams with regards to event schedules and entertainment.
Coordinate with the executive team, sales, and marketing to understand each event’ s message and priorities.   Coordinate with script writers to ensure clarity in these messages.
Oversee a production team in vetting vendors, creative ideas, and new execution for each event.
Lead cross-functional training groups internal to the organization.
Manage a multi-million-dollar budget to negotiate best rates and manage convention total costs.

Event Director Background Profile:
Bachelor’ s degree
7+ years of experience in leading large events, managing multi-million-dollar budgets – preferably in a MLM environment.
Leadership experience in coaching and developing a team.
Experience working with Executive leadership.
Strong ability to plan and delegate for National conference events.
