Our Non-Profit client located in Garland, TX has an immediate opening for an Event Coordinator / Administrative Assistant on a contract to possible hire basis.

Event Coordinator / Administrative Assistant Role:
The Event Coordinator / Administrative Assistant manages and oversees events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, and organizing vendors, and managing take-down.
Works with team on planning, execution and post-event reporting and presentations.
Assists with set up of food & beverages; clean up and removal of dishes. 
Coordinated services for events such as transportation for guests, signage, displays, special needs requirements, printing and event security.
Provides set-up assistance and on-site support as required.
Assists on signage and decor development, copy, creation and placement.
Assists in all aspects of live events, including expo, exhibit, AV, scenic, decor, registration, event flow, creative, food and beverage, transportation, parties/evening events, as well as sourcing and interacting with vendors.
Sources materials required for event production.
Perform other duties and administrative tasks as assigned.

Event Coordinator / Administrative Assistant Background Profile:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
At least 1year of experience in event planning
Ability to quickly recognize or anticipate problem areas and quickly develop solutions.
Flexible, self-motivated, energetic, and uses time productively and efficiently.
Strong and proficient skills with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Google Drive, Google Docs.
Exhibits an outgoing, upbeat personality, enjoys working as part of a team, and is efficient, considerate, and organized, with a keen eye for details.
Must have excellent proven written and verbal communication skills is preferred.
