Job Description
Our client located in Sugarland, TX is in need of a Vehicle Engineering Technician. This is a direct hire, onsite opportunity offering every other Friday off and overtime pay.

Vehicle Engineering Technician Role
The Vehicle Engineering Technician will support the build, test, and field deployment of large-scale, specialized vehicles and mechanical systems.
This role is highly hands-on and sits between mechanical engineering, heavy equipment, and field support. You will partner closely with engineering teams to assemble, troubleshoot, and optimize complex vehicle systems used in demanding operational environments.
Assemble, modify, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on large vehicles or equipment
Support prototype builds and system integrations
Diagnose and resolve equipment failures and performance issues
Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
Execute testing, validation, and system checks
Document work, test results, and system changes
Support occasional field work or onsite equipment builds
Vehicle Engineering Technician Background Profile:
5–10+ years of hands-on experience working with:
Heavy equipment, industrial vehicles, or diesel systems
Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting
Associate’s degree in Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, or related field preferred
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and engineering documentation
Experience using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and mechanical testing equipment
Strong problem-solving ability with a practical, “figure-it-out” mindset
Comfortable working in physically demanding environments (lifting, standing, tight spaces)
