Job Description
Position: Automotive Electrical Designer
Our client, a reputable company based in Sugar Land, TX, is currently looking for an experienced Automotive Electrical Designer to join their team on a full-time basis. This role offers a 9/80 work schedule, providing every other Friday off for a better work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and enhance electrical systems for specialized off-road vehicles
- Develop detailed schematics, wire layouts, and collaborate with engineers to optimize performance, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Leverage expertise in vehicle electrical systems, focusing on power distribution, lighting, control units, and communication networks
- Create precise electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for off-road vehicles
- Work in tandem with engineering teams to refine designs for enhanced efficiency and manufacturability
- Maintain comprehensive design documentation to ensure traceability and facilitate updates
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and industry regulations for all electrical systems
- Provide support during prototype testing and troubleshooting, adjusting designs based on real-time results
- Stay abreast of emerging vehicle electrical technologies to continually enhance designs
Requirements:
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automotive Technology, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in electrical system design, preferably in the automotive or off-road vehicle sectors
- Thorough understanding of off-road vehicle electrical systems, encompassing power distribution, sensors, wiring, and control systems
- Proficiency in AutoDesk 3D design software, especially Inventor & Vault
- Ability to interpret, create, and modify electrical schematics accurately
- Knowledge of Pelton and INOVA vibrator controllers considered a strong asset
- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and address electrical issues effectively
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork
