Our client located in Houston, Texas is looking for a Engineer Consultant with experience in Air Permits for a direct hire opportunity. Interested candidates can live anywhere in the State of Texas.

Engineer Consultant Role:
Engineer Consultant will collaborate with Project Managers to lead technical aspects of the projects.
Guide complex environmental work.
Manage both technical project elements, mentor junior team members and build strong client relationships.
Provide technical guidance for environmental permitting, compliance, and modeling projects.
Engineer Consultant will apply knowledge of both federal and state regulations to ensure compliance across various agencies.
Build relationships with regulatory bodies, offering strategic analysis and interpretation of regulations.
Oversee the technical execution of projects, ensuring client-ready deliverables and adherence to quality standards.
Engineer Consultant will manage project schedules, client communications, and internal progress to meet milestones.
Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring junior staff contribute to regulatory and technical accuracy.
Mentor junior staff and uphold core values in all interactions.
Engineer Consultant will serve as the primary technical resource for project management, bridging communication between technical staff and management.
Review project deliverables for compliance with company’ quality assurance procedures.
Continuous education of technical and project management skills, including proposal development and client relationship management.
Achieve billable hour targets and contribute to other duties as required.
Engineer Consultant Background Profile:
Bachelor degree in Engineering or a relevant environmental/science field.
3-5 years of experience in Environmental Regulatory, Compliance, or consulting roles.
Must have Air Permitting experience to qualify.
Proven expertise in environmental regulations and technical disciplines.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel, and strong technical writing capabilities.
Keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to task management.
