Energy Program Specialist Role:
As an Energy Program Specialist, you will play a vital role in representing our client's energy conservation program. Your primary responsibility will be to establish accountability for energy consumption and develop strategies throughout the facilities to drive the organization's energy conservation efforts. This will involve identifying savings opportunities, analyzing utility bill data and energy consumption information, and working closely with personnel to implement effective conservation measures.
Meet with various personnel within the organization and gain their support to implement energy conservation strategies.
You will use technology and software to manage and analyze utility bill data and energy consumption.
Requires strong attention to detail to make sure savings measurements are accurate.
Meet with your manager regularly to report on the status of the client’s energy program.
Work with local public relations to promote the success of the client’s energy program.
Build strong rapport and open communication with all personnel including leadership, facilities, maintenance and custodial staff.
Conduct on-site audits to assess energy efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of utility consumption data and ensure measurement of savings.
Regularly meet with the client's Program Liaison to report on the progress of the energy program.
Report any safety hazards that you observe and coordinate with maintenance regarding necessary repairs.
Be timely in completing reports that show your progress and performance in relationship to the implementation plan.

Energy Program Specialist Background Profile:
HS Diploma or the equivalent is required. 
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required. 
3+ years solid work experience – no job hoppers
Will consider someone with a high school diploma or the equivalent with strong work experience of 5+ years 
Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Desire and ability to build trust and strong relationships with all levels of personnel.
Ability to positively influence others.
Experience with conducting presentations in large and small groups.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Ability to set and manage your own schedule.
MS Office Suite  skills – with a strong emphasis in Excel.
Technologically strong with computers and handheld tablets.
Able to work irregular hours.
Possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive to client locations.
