Electrical Engineer - Transmission, Distribution, and Substation Design
Our established Fort Worth Electrical Engineering client is looking to hire a full-time Electrical Engineer to join their team on a direct hire basis.

Electrical Engineer - Transmission, Distribution, and Substation Design Role: 
As an Electrical Engineer specializing in Transmission, Distribution, Substation, and Industrial Projects, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the implementation of electrical systems across a range of projects, with a primary focus on transmission lines, distribution networks, and substation infrastructure.
Additionally, you will contribute to industrial and commercial projects, including oil and gas loading/offloading facilities, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) design, and foundation systems.
This role requires expertise in electrical engineering principles, particularly in power systems, coupled with the versatility to adapt to various project requirements and industries.
Design and analyze electrical systems for transmission lines and distribution networks, considering factors such as load requirements, voltage regulation, and system reliability.
Substation Engineering:
Design substations and switchyards, including layout, equipment selection, and protection schemes.
Specify and design transformers, circuit breakers, relays, and other substation equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Industrial Projects:
Provide electrical engineering support for industrial facilities, including oil and gas terminals, refineries, and manufacturing plants.
Design power distribution systems, control panels, and instrumentation for industrial processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Commercial Projects:
Contribute to the design of MEP systems for commercial buildings, including electrical power distribution, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and plumbing systems.
Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into building designs.
Oil and Gas Infrastructure:
Design electrical systems for oil and gas loading and offloading facilities, including marine terminals and onshore/offshore installations.
Ensure compliance with industry-specific standards and regulations governing electrical equipment and installations in hazardous environments.
Foundation Systems:
Provide engineering support for the design of foundation systems for various structures, including equipment foundations for substations and industrial facilities.
Perform structural analysis and design calculations to ensure foundation stability and integrity.
Project Management:
Manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
Provide technical expertise and support during construction, commissioning, and operation phases of projects.
Troubleshoot electrical system issues and recommend corrective actions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Electrical Engineer - Transmission, Distribution, and Substation Design Profile: 
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) TX license required
Extensive experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on transmission, distribution, substation design, and industrial projects.
Proficiency in electrical design software, CAD tools, and simulation programs.
Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations, such as NEC, IEEE, and NESC.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and adapt to changing project requirements.
