Director of Practice Operations Role:
The Director of Practice Operations assumes a pivotal role in offering leadership, communication, and guidance to all healthcare professionals, including physicians, PA/NP practitioners, providers, clinic leaders, and support staff.
In this role you will have the responsibility of nurturing clinic leadership, championing operational excellence, and ensuring the delivery of an exceptional patient experience that drives unparalleled levels of patient satisfaction and retention.
You are going to have experience and the desire to help grow the practice.
Prepare and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements, and oversee all financial, project/program consistent with best practices.
Examine revenue, productivity, appointment patterns, workdays, and patient flow trends to optimize practice expansion and enhance provider performance. Supervise physician and staff schedules to efficiently allocate time off, prioritizing patient convenience, all the while effectively managing practice expenditures to sustain profitability.
Manage organizational cash flow, forecasting, and day-to-day fiscal operations.
The Director in this capacity serves as the central communication link between Support Services and the clinic, facilitating the dissemination of corporate policy and procedural changes, along with clinic operational guidelines.
Provide effective management oversight including coaching and mentoring.
Identify growth opportunities and review KPIs.
Attend monthly onsite provider meetings.
Conduct clinic reviews on a quarterly basis.
Prepares for and actively engages in mandatory management meetings, including sessions with the Chief Operating Officer, regional operations leadership, physician advisor, and any other administrative or operational meetings according to the schedule.
Guarantees that all staff members are adept in the essential technology applications necessary to carry out their job responsibilities.
Responsible for ensuring that all clinics and providers consistently provide the optimal patient experience for each individual. Also, ensures the effective resolution of any concerns raised by patients.
Ensures the clinic adheres to HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA requirements, in addition to meeting meaningful use criteria and complying with all relevant state regulations.
Director of Practice Operations Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
Master’s degree is a plus
7+years’ experience in the Healthcare field – Specialty Practice experience preferred but not necessary
Current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations
Strong management and leadership experience
MS Office Suite
EMR experience, preferably Mod Med and/or Nextgen
P&L experience
Excellent organizational skills, along with verbal and written communication skills
Technically savvy
Strong time management skills and multitasking skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
