Director of Loss Prevention
Our client in Los Angeles, CA has an immediate opening for a Director, Loss Prevention on a direct hire basis.

Director of Loss Prevention:
Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Asset Protection Manager will collaborate closely with Store Operations and Human Resources to enhance the company's asset protection initiatives. This role involves developing and enforcing security policies, training staff, and leading investigations to safeguard company assets. The position demands frequent travel and varied schedules.
Safety and Compliance: Always adhere to and promote established safety protocols.
Policy Development: Create and implement a security strategy that supports the company’s business goals.
Investigation Leadership: Conduct and manage investigations related to policy violations, criminal activities, and other incidents, liaising with law enforcement when needed.
Risk Assessment: Regularly assess risks, perform audits, and introduce corrective measures to minimize vulnerabilities.
Incident Reporting: Document and report all incidents related to loss prevention.
Shrink Reduction: Develop and manage programs aimed at reducing shrinkage, theft, and fraud.
Security Supervision: Oversee security services within assigned districts, including store security systems, access control, and surveillance.
Law Enforcement Collaboration: Build and maintain positive relationships with local law enforcement agencies.
Training and Development: Conduct training sessions to raise shrink awareness among store associates.

Director of Loss Prevention Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.
At least 10 years of experience in security and loss prevention, with 5 years in a leadership capacity.
Proven success in developing and executing security and loss prevention programs.
Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in security technologies and systems.
Capable of working under pressure and managing emergencies effectively.

Mike has a passion for community service, having served as a board member for the Bear Creek Specialty Utility District (formerly Lavon Water Supply Corporation) from 2007-2013; Community Independent School District board trustee from 2013-2017; and currently serves as Lavon City Councilman, Place 2 since 2017.
