Our busy and growing client in Fort Worth, TX is looking for a Director Supply Chain Management on a direct hire basis.

Director Supply Chain Management Role:
The Director of Supply Chain Management is responsible for end to end management of Supply Chain.   This role will provide the main interface between the end customer and the external supply base, develop and build strong relationships, and drive process improvements throughout the supply chain.
Drive new processes, identify gaps, changes processes, make improvements
This role will lead the customer account to deliver operational and strategic plans through overall supply chain management of the suppliers, customers and resource.
Manage and lead on operational end to end supply chain performance while also managing the on-going relationship and operational delivery of the service to the customer.
This role is all about influencing and managing situations.
Responsible for leading the department, personally driving improvement activity and developing strong relationships with vendors and customers to ensure customer satisfaction. 
Develop a business plan for the department to include targets, resource requirements, training requirements and capability. 
Ensure accurate resource planning to meet load and capability requirements so that key activities can be prioritized. 
Establish and measure annual strategic objectives to ensure that the department meets the required operational performance targets. 
Establish, measure, and monitor vendor improvement plans and performance KPI’ s to manage and improve supply chain performance in support of customer delivery. 
Deploy account strategy, processes and procedures across the region.
Responsible for leading the team to continually challenge, innovate, and improve the effectiveness or efficiency of all processes. 
Align all processes and procedures with other regions to ensure consistency of operating practices, training, and competency performance.
Responsible for participating in improvement activities/projects at to enhance business performance. 

Director Supply Chain Management Background Profile:
Bachelor’ s degree in Business Management or related field
5-10 Years of experience 
Supply Chain Management and Inventory Planning Certifications a plus
APICS, IPICS, CIPS Certifications
Lean/6 Sigma or similar plus
Experience working on an intern program with major OEM is a plus
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodology is a plus
Experience working in a manufacturing industry is a good background for this role
Strong experience in establishing, driving and developing supply chain relationships
Extensive experience in relationship management and developing customer performance metrics
Extensive supply chain operations experience
Strong leadership and people management background and experience
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others, strong presentation skills, and excellent leadership skills.
