Bilingual Customer Equipment and Safety Trainer Role:
In this role, you will provide education and guidance about regulatory compliance with safety, health and environmental laws, codes, regulations, standards, and related company requirements.
The Trainer is responsible for content development and delivery of heavy equipment operator programs for Customers and Internal Team Members.
This role is part of a huge initiative in this company to grow this department and provide an amazing customer service experience for external and internal customers and requires someone with outstanding customer service skills, a positive and upbeat attitude, with a smile and positive energy.
Delivers and facilitates structured safety and regulatory training and development programs and initiatives in support of the company’s training plan and objectives.
Updates materials as determined by changes in regulations and/or programs.
Provides onsite training, reinforcement of safety policy and procedures in cooperation with EHS department to Customers and Team Members throughout the company.
Performs administrative duties to track completion of training, scheduling of classes and resources, compile and prepare statistical information on training program status.
Maintain accurate and timely training records and reports through strong alignment and engagement with Operations and HR teams.
Educate, train and orient Customers and Team Members on procedures for proper inspection and safe operation of equipment and heavy machinery.
Educate, train and orient new and current drivers on procedures for proper inspection and safe operation of vehicles for collection, OSHA, DOT, and company policies/driving standards.
Visits sites to conduct field safety observations and perform routine examinations of all work areas to promote safe working practices and conditions.
Bilingual Customer Equipment and Safety Trainer Background Profile:
High School Diploma or the equivalent
Bachelor’s degree is preferred
5+ years of experience in a training environment in a construction safety industry
Bilingual – Spanish/English
Knowledge and experience of vendor assurance, GMP and HACCP programs
MS Office Suite – Word, Excel and Outlook and specifically PowerPoint and media presentations
Working knowledge a Learning Management System (LMS)
Excellent customer service and customer facing skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong business acumen and leadership skills
Desire to grow with the company into a management position within this department or grow with the company into other areas such as Sales
Ability to work cross-functionally with all departments
Certifications required: Fall Protection Certification
Certifications preferred: Forklift Train the Trainer Certification
