Culinary Services Manager
Our client located in Dallas, TX is in need of a Culinary Services Manager on a direct-hire basis.

Culinary Services Manager Role:
Culinary Services Manager will manage a team of 5 staff members serving 50+ daily guests breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday
For a small café prepare a small handful of breakfast items and lunch will include 2 daily entrees, a vegetable, starch, soup, and dessert option as well as premade sandwiches and salads
Communicate with department supervisors as needed in planning food service programs and activities
Plans and directs the Dining Services Department, its programs, and activities 
Assists in the overall coordination of food preparation, cooking and baking activities, and ensures the quality and nutritional value of foods prepared
Culinary Services Manager will review departmental material with the Executive Chef annually 
Manage the department’s budget and costs with parameters
Oversee employee accountability practices, evaluate the department personnel, and ensure a competent workforce
Schedule department personnel and assignments to maintain quality food production and service
Culinary Services Manager will develop programs designed for on-the-job training classes for newly assigned departmental personnel
Provide education to other facility personnel regarding Dietary Service when needed 
Participate in the facility’s quality improvement program
Routinely inspect the dining services area and practices for compliance 
Report all hazardous conditions, equipment, and incidents
Maintain current records regarding department expenditures including food costs
Make recommendations regarding equipment needs of the department
Work as front-line staff as needed
Purchase food, supplies, equipment, etc., as needed
Culinary Services Manager will ensure food service production to ensure that meals are prepared on time, properly, and served efficiently
Monitor food temperatures at point of service 

Culinary Services Manager Background Profile:
Minimum 5 years of similar experience as a Sous Chef, High-Level Cook, Assistant Head Chef, or similar roles
Minimum 1-2 years of leadership as a supervisor or manager
Experience managing a small team of 5
Manage a small café that serves breakfast and lunch for an average of 50 daily guests, 100 max from 9 am to 3 pm
Willingness to work Monday through Friday opening in the morning and cleaning after lunch
Top level customer services
Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and tech-savvy
