Corporate Controller Role:
The Corporate Controller will be responsible for managing the accuracy and productivity of day-to day activities of accounts payable, payroll, cash receipts and disbursements, daily cash, fixed assets, accruals, allocations, purchase card administration, general accounting activities, cash forecasting, and month-end close. 
Manage the direction, coordination, and evaluation of the account department staff, providing leadership and coaching 
Hire and train staff based on department needs 
Develops, improve, and coordinate timely month-end close deadlines  
Review and ensure timely completion of journal entries, general ledger, and various account reconciliations  
Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner
Ensure accounts receivable are collected promptly  
Maintain documented accounting policies and procedures 
Interact with outside audit firm, bank, credit card company, senior leadership, directors, and other parties in matters pertaining to accounting issues
Assist and coordinate year-end PBC auditor and tax audit requests
Assist in preparation of annual budgets
Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures to financial management, and accounting 
Participate in preparation of various financial statements and reports, and review statements for accuracy 
Supports and participate in cost analyses, actual budget analysis, and other variance reporting, as needed 
Explore opportunities to reduce operating expenses 
Review cash balances report and explore cash management opportunities 

Corporate Controller Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related
3+ years’ retail accounting experience
Public accounting experience a plus 
CPA a plus, but not required 
Retail accounting experience is required
Wholesale accounting experience is a plus 
Experience with QuickBooks
Experience with a plus  
Strong ERP accounting system experience 
Strong organizational and management skills 
Ability to review and interpret contracts 
Attention to detail and accuracy 
Ability to establish and meet deadline 
Strong skills working with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), advanced Excel skills
