Our client near Stafford, TX has an immediate need for a Controller on a direct hire basis.

Controller Role:
The Controller will oversee the financial and accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards. Leading the accounting team, this role monitors financial performance and ensures the accuracy of all financial data, playing a key role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting executive decision-making.
Supervise the accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
Oversee the day-to-day financial activities, including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and ensuring compliance with tax requirements.
Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to protect company assets and guarantee the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
Support the development of budgets and financial forecasts, continuously tracking and evaluating performance against financial targets.
Ensure strict adherence to accounting standards, such as GAAP and IFRS, as well as compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
Lead the planning, preparation, and execution of both internal and external audits, ensuring all processes are accurate and completed on time.
Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain adequate liquidity for day-to-day operations and future financial needs.
Lead and mentor the accounting team, promoting professional growth and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.
Analyze budget performance, investigate variances, and propose actionable recommendations to management for cost control and financial improvements.
Identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and apply best practices.
Oversee compliance with tax laws and regulations, manage the preparation of tax filings, and address any tax-related issues that arise.
Controller Background Profile:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA is preferred.
8-10+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with 5+ in a supervisory or leadership role.
Manufacturing industry experience required.
Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance. Expertise in systems such as SAP or Oracle, along with advanced proficiency in Excel.
Strong analytical abilities with a focus on accuracy and precision in managing financial data.
Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring accounting teams, with excellent communication skills.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
