Controller Role:
The Controller will manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, fixed assets as well as serve as HR, Payroll, Health and Benefits Administrator.
Supervise three direct reports which includes AR, AP, and a front desk associate as well as screen, hire, train, and retain accounting department employees.
Process payroll for up to 100 employees using eBacon and maintain benefits and 401K.
Maintain account balances and bank statements.
Preparing financial statements, Journal entries and reconciliation.
Ensuring compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations, GAAP, Preliminary Lien Laws and waivers.
Providing company leaders with insights for decision-making purposes.
Coordinate procurement activities.
Familiar with modern accounting software solutions including, the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed. 
Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions.
Developing and monitoring business performance metrics.
Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance, payroll tax filings.
Review and oversee weekly payables and receivables for cash management purposes.
Ensure accuracy of the physical inventory and reported results.
Manage month-end and year-end close process, ensuring compliance with GAAP Principles.
Ensure timely reporting of all monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial information.
Coordinate accounting functions including new procedures and ongoing operations.
Controller Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred but will consider experience in lieu of education
5-7+ years of professional accounting experience
Strongly prefer someone with Inventory or Manufacturing experience 
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software 
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles 
Knowledge of GAAP, best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations
