Job Description
Our growing client located near Alpharetta, GA has an immediate need for a Controller on a Direct Basis.

Controller Role:
While reporting to the CFO the controller will handle day-to-day general accounting functions including Invoicing, Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Recognition, and all daily banking activities.
Act as a trusted advisor and partner to business leaders, stakeholders, outside vendors, customers, etc.
Hands on accounting, payroll, treasury, and tax functions of the business.
Handle billing processing as well as payables, bank reconciliation
Financial statement preparation and account reconciliation as well as manage month end and year-end financial close,
Complete and file monthly Sales and Use tax returns as well as manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Maintain, comply and stay up to date with GAAP and statutory accounting as well as review accounting policies and procedures.
Complete accurate financial transactions and financial reporting.
Process payroll and benefits including commissions and annual bonuses through Paycor. Manage FCA reporting and Workers Comp audit and reporting.
Manage working capital and control cash flow.
Administer the 401k Plan.
Ensure account analysis and reconciliations are complete in a timely manner.
Partner with external audit to support interim and year end audits.
Contracts management to ensure compliance with terms and conditions, accurate billing, and timely collections.
Negotiate favorable terms to minimize financial risks and review contract proposals.
Controller Background Profile:
Bachelor's Degree is required. A degree in Accounting or Finance is highly preferred.
10+ years of relevant experience in a senior accounting role including support of external audits with at least 3 years recent experience in a Controller role.
Must have working knowledge of finance, accounting, treasury, tax, and internal control processes.
Possess and utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Current understanding of GAAP including revenue recognition.
Advanced experience using Sage and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making.
Must be detail orients with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to achieving results.
