My client located in Houston, Texas needs a Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant. This is a direct hire, onsite opportunity.

Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant Role:
The Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant will provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling sophisticated commercial litigation matters.
This position requires someone who thrives in a fast paced law firm environment, can anticipate attorney needs, and effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy.
Support attorneys throughout all phases of commercial litigation.
Prepare, revise, proofread, and format legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
Electronically file documents in both Texas state and federal courts.
Maintain attorney calendars, schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, meetings, and travel arrangements.
Coordinate service of process and assist with litigation deadlines.
Organize and maintain both electronic and physical case files.
Assist with document production, exhibits, trial notebooks, and hearing preparation.
Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors.
Enter attorney time and assist with expense reports as needed.
Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant Background Profile
High school diploma or equivalent required.
3+ years of legal assistant experience supporting commercial litigation attorneys required.
Strong knowledge of Texas state and federal court filing procedures.
Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously.
Excellent document formatting and proofreading skills.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast paced legal environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Professional demeanor with exceptional client service skills.
