The Co-Store Manager works directly with the Store Manager to oversee total store operations based on the goals, objectives, and standards of the company. The ideal individual will have a servant’s heart and an eye for detail.
Oversee, assist, and supervise all department managers in planning and performance to achieve established goals and objectives.
Provide a model of supportive and participatory leadership promoting the concepts of collaboration and team building.
Oversee the monitoring and managing of all controllable expenditures within the established budget to maximize cash flow, EBITDA, sales, shrink, gross margin, and net profit.
Understand and utilize the financial tools and reports available to support operations.
Monitor store conditions to meet customer service objectives and goals.
Help direct and maintain inventory levels and company merchandising standards to meet company objectives.
Understand, implement required programs, manage, and monitor compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety laws.
Strong understanding and compliance of state laws regarding the sale of alcohol, tobacco as applicable.
Stays up to date regarding local community activities and events that could impact store business.
Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Co-Store Manager Background Profile:
Associate Degree in related field and two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
Manager Food Safety certification required.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

He also has earned certificates of proficiency in management specialized leadership and retail management from Tyler Junior College. The later certification was in collaboration with the Western Association of Food Chains. And, he has received numerous awards and accolades for customer service and leadership.
Mike has a passion for community service, having served as a board member for the Bear Creek Specialty Utility District (formerly Lavon Water Supply Corporation) from 2007-2013; Community Independent School District board trustee from 2013-2017; and currently as Lavon City Councilman, Place 2 since 2017.
