Civil Litigation Paralegal Role:
- Handle a high-volume docket and provide trial preparation support
- Draft and electronically file state and federal pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Ensure litigation calendars are managed efficiently and critical deadlines are adhered to
- Oversee case preparation from intake to trial, including organizing exhibits and liaising with clients and witnesses
- Maintain a smooth flow of high-volume dockets and monitor case progress meticulously
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to maintain operational and procedural standards
- Lead or contribute to administrative functions and implement office standard operating procedures
- Act as a primary contact for client communication and status updates
- Utilize legal tech tools and case management software in a contemporary, Apple-based office setting
Civil Litigation Paralegal Background Profile:
- 5–10+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience, preferably in a plaintiff-side firm
- Must have file-to-trial experience, with proficiency in trial preparation, motion drafting, and calendaring
- Paralegal certification from an ABA-accredited program preferred (or 10+ years of relevant experience)
- Prior experience in project management or office management is beneficial
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Mac/Apple OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and cloud-based tools (e.g., MyCase, Slack, Zoom)
- Proficiency in Spanish is advantageous
- Notary public certification or willingness to obtain one
