Chemical Engineering Manager Role:
The Chemical Engineering Manager will lead the Engineering which will include the Chemical, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers.
Responsible for work assignments, training, staffing, compensation, and time management.
Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives to offset inflation.
Lead process improvements.
Reduce material variability.
Work closely with the capital team to scope out capital projects.
Create operating procedures for new assets ensuring a successful transition into production.
Lead qualification efforts of new assets, new raw materials, and new products moving into production.
Lead failure modes and effects analysis on production assets to minimize risk, safety, and quality risks.
Analyze and interpret manufacturing techniques, procedures, and process conditions to ensure quality requirements are met.
Provide customer support for troubleshooting complaints, customer returns, and customer action requests.
Proactively support and comply with the Safety & Environmental Management Systems requirements.
Participate in Environmental Sustainability Efforts, Greenhouse Gas Reduction, Waste Reduction, Energy Assessments, and Water Consumption.
Chemical Engineering Manager Background Profile:
B.S. degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering degree is highly preferred
10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Must have chemical engineering experience
Must have Lean Manufacturing experience
Black Belt certifications are strongly preferred
Strong chemical processing experience is highly preferred
Experience with various manufacturing methodologies, process controls, costing, analysis, rates, etc.
