Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Paralegal Role
This Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Paralegal must be very organized and have 5+ years of Chapter 11 Bankruptcy experience.  If you have big law firm experience – that is a huge plus. Â
Review orders on Motions for Relief for approval to upload to Court
Good working knowledge of the Motion for relief process in Chapter 11 bankruptcies
Communicate with current and prospective clients and set up initial phone interviews
Draft, revise and proof correspondence, pleadings, summons, affidavits, interrogatories and discovery requests
Assist Attorney in review of new client referrals, loan documents, bankruptcy plans and schedules
Enter Attorney time, proofing pre-bills and sending bills to client Â
E-file documents with State and Federal Courts
Organize case files
Coordinate document productions
Track critical deadlines and manage calendars with Compulaw software
Maintain Index for Pleadings and discovery
Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Paralegal Background
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Bankruptcy Litigation ParalegalÂ
Software experience required in Bankruptcy Pro, Timeslips, Pacer, Lexis research, and Microsoft Office.
Typing 70+ wpmÂ
Excellent communication skills
Software experience required in Bankruptcy Pro, Timeslips, Pacer, Lexis research, and Microsoft OfficeÂ
Excellent writing and proofreading skills
Experience with Calendar management using Compulaw softwareÂ
Candidate must have a good understanding of the litigation life cycle
Familiarity with Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, Local Rules, Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
Engaged with current litigation events, cases and decisions
Experience using Microsoft productivity tools - Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word
Candidate must have the ability to work under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced environment
Ability to work on multiple projects and have the ability to prioritize projects
Must be able to work independently and without supervision or work with team
