Business Development Director
Our Austin, Texas client is looking to hire a highly successful, hands-on Business Development Director in the Houston/Gulf area to join their sales team for a direct hire opportunity.

Business Development Director Role:
Target Major Capital Projects in the Americas
Develop long-term, relationships with executives in order to sell multi-million dollar, multi-year engagements
Develop and lead the implementation of a sales plan for targets in their region
Pursue, qualify and convert leads into pipeline opportunities and sales agreements
Directly support the Region’ s Managing Director and the Chief of Sales
Identify and prioritize prospective targets and market opportunities by qualifying leads and managing the sales cycle
Collaborate and support the Client Services team in closing sales
Expand existing client relationships
Develop profitable pricing and collaborate with the Managing Director on any contract negotiations to bring the sale to closure
Work with consultants to close new client sales
Achieve annual sales quota plus all KPI’ s
Assess of market trends, client issues and overall sales strategy
Prioritize targets and planned business development initiatives
Participate in the development of marketing strategies
Track all activities in Salesforce.com
Maintain up to date and key information of all client contact records 

Business Development Director Background Profile:
Undergraduate degree required
MBA preferred
10 years minimum of professional services sales; hands-on, hunting sales experience
Must have experience targeting companies with Major Capital Projects
Must have experience selling high-dollar, complex solutions to clients both domestic and international
Experience selling a service versus a product is preferred
Strong knowledge of the opperations side of companies is ideal
Ability to travel up to 40% mostly domestic but some travel to Canada and South America
Proven consultative selling skills
Experience selling to oil and gas and major capital project environment is a plus
Strong business acumen and organizational understanding 
Experience in organizational development
Strong written and presentation skills 
Ability to maintain strong workplace relationships 
Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Salesforce.com
