Job Description
Bookkeeper
Our growing client in Spring, TX has a need for a bookkeeper on a direct hire basis.

Bookkeeper Role:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting tasks, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including data entry, reconciliations, financial reporting and manage cash flow.
Track costs for each job to ensure the total of all WIP inventory subsidiary ledgers matches the WIP inventory account on the balance sheet
Record and classify financial transactions accurately, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and expenses.
Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Generate and review financial reports and statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Prepare and submit periodic financial reports to management and assist in financial analysis and budgeting.
Process and track invoices, payments, and receipts.
Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely payments and collections.
Manage vendor relationships and handle billing inquiries and discrepancies.
Process employee payroll, including calculations of wages, deductions, and benefits, and ensure timely payments.
Maintain accurate payroll records and manage employee expense reimbursements as well as assist with payroll processing for 32 people.
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting regulations and standards.
Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation for auditing and tax purposes.
Utilize software for all accounting functions, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support as needed.
Assist with financial audits and tax preparation by providing necessary documentation and reports.
Prepare and submit monthly sales tax to comptroller.
Bookkeeper Background Profile:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial construction.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Procore experience a plus.
Must have experience with WIP reporting.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
