Job Description

Our client in Fort Worth, TX has an immediate need for a Bookkeeper on a 3 month contract basis and may consider contract to hire.

Bookkeeper Role:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for accurately recording and maintaining financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. They ensure that financial records are up-to-date, organized, and compliant with relevant regulations. The bookkeeper collaborates with other members of the finance team to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.
Record day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system, including invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Process payroll, including calculating wages, taxes, and deductions, and preparing payroll reports.
Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial planning and decision-making.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, regulations, and policies.
Assist with audits by providing documentation and explanations of financial transactions as needed.
Communicate with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders regarding financial matters as necessary.
Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Bookkeeper Background 
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop 
ADP experience highly preferred 
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to reconcile discrepancies and resolve issues.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, such as GAAP or IFRS, is a plus.
