Our busy and growing client in Chicago, IL is looking for a Bilingual Regional HR Manager on a direct hire basis.

Bilingual Regional HR Manager Role:
In this role, you will support your area of approximately 250 people, providing assistance with recruiting, policies and procedures, employee relations, and employment law, while working and partnering with senior leaders in your assigned area which includes Illinois, Michigan, New York, New Jersey.
Directs and administers an effective staffing program
Coordinates recruitment efforts with hiring managers, coordinate interviews, accepts resumes and applications, interviews and assists with the final decision process.
Develops plans and strategies that create an environment of employee relations practices which helps to ensure employee retention, fosters communication, and minimizes third party intervention risk
Operates in a manner that supports the company values
Partners with management to implement HR strategy in support of business objectives
Ensures alignment, integration and adaptation of HR initiatives
Conducts needs assessment, develops training curriculum and conducts training sessions on various HR topics
Responsible for orientation programs
Conducts fact-finding investigation activities (e.g., interviews, document review, and consultation with appropriate company officials) related to high profile, complex inquiries, complaints and concerns and prescribes appropriate remedy to resolve complaint or concern
Stays current on recent federal, state and case law changes and monitors labor law updates and newsletters for changes that affect HR
Maintains records and compiles reports concerning personnel activity for affirmative action reporting, I-9 compliance, OSHA compliance and other regulatory requirements
Prepares, recommends, and maintains records and procedures for controlling personnel transactions and reporting personnel data
Partners with corporate HR team on implementation strategies and customization requirements for plans, programs, processes, and tools to ensure local business unit needs are met
Bilingual Regional HR Manager Background Profile:
Bachelor’ s degree in Human Resources or related field
3+ years’ experience in an HR role
2+ years’ experience in a leadership role
Bilingual in Spanish/English – able to read, write and speak
HRIS system experience is required, ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus
Comprehensive knowledge of HR functions, regulations, and overall employee management, motivation and retention
Strong understanding of the interviewing process, benefits administration, payroll and other HR functions
PHR certification a plus
Strong employee relations experience\
Strong recruiting experience and experience with employment law
Ability and desire to make a difference – ie. bring ideas regarding policy and procedures and suggest needed changes and process improvement
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Leadership and planning skills
