Bilingual Nurse Paralegal Role
The Nurse Paralegal will provide consultative support for clients suffering from injuries and the attorneys managing personal injury cases.
The ideal Nurse Paralegal will be a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in pain management, preferably within a surgical unit or emergency room (ER).
Provide consultative support to clients, assisting them in managing post-injury and post-operative pain.
Serve as a liaison between clients, medical providers, and attorneys to ensure clear communication of medical issues and treatments.
Review, organize, and summarize medical records and pain management reports for attorneys handling personal injury cases.
Make outbound calls to medical providers for record collection, clarification, and follow-up on clients’ medical conditions.
Take inbound calls from clients to provide reassurance, answer questions related to pain management, and offer empathetic support throughout the legal process.
Assist attorneys in understanding complex medical terms and conditions associated with personal injury claims.
Coordinate with doctors, physical therapists, and other medical professionals to ensure continuity of care for clients.
Provide expert insight into pain management strategies for clients during settlement negotiations or trial preparations.
Bilingual Nurse Paralegal Background
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pain management, preferably in a surgical unit, emergency room, or a similar fast-paced medical environment.
Must be fluent in both written and spoken Spanish as the clients are mostly Spanish speakers.
Strong knowledge of post-injury and post-operative pain management protocols and practices.
Must be comfortable having frequent phone conversations with clients.
Previous paralegal experience or exposure to personal injury cases (preferred but not required).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
Empathy, patience, and the ability to manage emotional conversations with clients.
Proficiency in reviewing and summarizing medical records.
