Job Description
Our client headquartered in Dallas, TX is adding a Bank Controller to their team. Â This is a direct hire opportunity.

Bank Controller Role:
Controller will supervise GL accounting, policy, and reporting
Mentor the accounting and finance team
Ensure accuracy of scheduled monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
Controller will collaborate with the CFO and CEO to develop the annual budget
Manage both internal and external audit processes
Design and operate internal controls over financial reporting
Review monthly Board package and management reports, analyze financial results
Controller oversees regulatory filings process to ensure timely filing of reports
Review annual tax return created by a third party
Handle special projects as assigned
Implement new general ledger and core software
Bank Controller Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
Active CPA certification is a plus
Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience
Banking industry accounting experience required
Ideal candidate will have a steady progressive work history with a mix of public, audit, and banking
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office, including Excel and Word. Proficiency in Pivot Tables and advanced Excel formulas is required
Experience in managing others
Experience with FIS IBS, FIS BIC, and PeopleSoft is a plus
Ability to work under time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
