Job Description
Our client located in Sugarland, TX has an immediate need for an Automotive Electrical Designer this is a direct hire opportunity. This is a 9/80 work schedule, every other Friday off.

Automotive Electrical Designer Role:
Automotive Electrical Designer will develop and refine the electrical systems of specialized off-road vehicles.
Will create schematics, design wiring layouts, and collaborate with engineers to optimize performance, safety, and compliance.
Utilize your deep understanding of vehicle electrical systems, including power distribution, control units, lighting, and communication networks daily.
Design detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams tailored for off-road vehicles.
Develop strategic layouts for wire routing and component placement, ensuring safety, accessibility, and compliance.
Work closely with engineering teams to refine designs for efficiency and manufacturability.
Maintain comprehensive design records, ensuring traceability and easy updates.
Ensure all electrical systems adhere to safety, environmental, and industry regulations.
Support prototype testing and troubleshooting, making real-time design adjustments based on results.
Keep up with emerging vehicle electrical technologies to continuously improve designs.
Automotive Electrical Designer Background Profile:
Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
5 years of experience designing electrical systems—preferably in automotive or off-road vehicle industries.
Strong grasp of off-road vehicle electrical systems (power distribution, wiring, sensors, and control systems).
Proficiency in AutoDesk 3D design software, including Inventor & Vault.
Ability to read, create, and modify electrical schematics with accuracy.
Familiarity with Pelton and INOVA vibrator controllers is a plus.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across teams.
