Associate Financial Planner
Our client, located in the Galleria area of Houston, TX is in need of an Associate Financial Planner for their firm. This is a direct hire opportunity with a great organization.
Small established financial services firm
Work hours are 7: 30 to 4pm M-TH, and 7: 30 to 3pm on Fridays
If you are wanting to get your career in Financial Planning started with a reputable firm, but want to learn the business from the ground up without having the pressure of immediately starting cold calling prospects and build a book of business, this could be the role for you!
This role will give you the foundation to successfully advance through the career path to Financial Planner and allow you to get the required FINRA registrations, state insurance licenses and CFP certification.
Participate in planning meetings and be in direct communication with Senior Advisor regarding work in progress
Create financial plans and retirement projects for clients
Will work with MoneyGuide Pro to prepare plans that are easily understood by the client
Prepare portfolio reviews, cost basis reports investment research and risk questionnaires
Assist with client communication, agendas, summary letters, recommendations and client reports
Bachelor’ s degree is required
Will consider candidates who have completed the coursework for the CFP Certification and those who have passed it
Must be able to pass the FINRA licensing (7 and 63) within the first 6 months of employment and will have 2 years to complete the CFP certification exam
Previous experience with MoneyGuide Pro would be ideal, but is not required
MUST be very organized and a team player with a positive attitude
Previous internships in the industry would be ideal
Must have the desire to work for a smaller firm
