Our client in Tulsa, OK has an immediate opening for an Assistant Store Manager on a direct hire basis.

Assistant Store Manager Role:
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for exemplifying and ensuring strong customer service throughout all aspects of the store. This position assists in overseeing total store operations, achieving sales and profit objectives, and enforcing company policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local laws.
Maintain an enthusiastic atmosphere of customer awareness, emphasizing fast and friendly customer service.
Answer and respond to incoming calls appropriately. Receive and resolve customer complaints and close the loop between customer and employee relations.
Assist in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all store activities. Implement merchandising, operating, and sales initiatives to achieve sales goals and manage expenses.
Communicate Company goals, policies, procedures, and practices to department managers and employees, ensuring compliance and setting total store expectations.
Review ads, sales plans, and store promotions with department managers regularly.
Implement and communicate the Company's safety and health initiatives to employees, emphasizing safety code compliance in all work practices.
Ensure integrity in food safety and sanitation practices for all departments, keeping the store compliant in all areas.
Assist with staffing, recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating employee performance. Make personnel decisions and promote positive employee morale.
Control shrink, maintain accurate inventory levels, develop operating budgets, and manage in-store operating, maintenance, expense, and supply costs.
Oversee proper code dating, stock rotation, and inventory control in backroom and on the sales floor.
Build and maintain positive community relations and positive communication channels with manufacturers and corporate personnel.
Comply with workplace safety rules and regulations, as well as all Company policies and guidelines.
Assistant Store Manager Background Profile:
Associate Degree in related field and two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
Bilingual is preferred but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, maintaining a professional demeanor with customers and co-workers.
Ability to lift and maneuver objects up to approximately 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and perform repetitive arm movements.
Good knowledge of overall company practices and department policies and procedures.
Ability to operate equipment and software, including pallet jacks, hand trucks, computer systems, and electronic ordering devices.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Email systems.

Mike has a passion for community service, having served as a board member for the Bear Creek Specialty Utility District (formerly Lavon Water Supply Corporation) from 2007-2013; Community Independent School District board trustee from 2013-2017; and currently serves as Lavon City Councilman, Place 2 since 2017.
