Our client in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina has an immediate opening for an Assistant Deli Manager on a direct hire basis.

Assistant Deli Manager Role:
The Assistant Deli Manager prides themselves on customer service, prepares quality gourmet food to ensure an appealing visual presentation and partners with catering for special events while supporting profitability goals.
Plan and prepare chef inspired food.
Plan and prepare special event or catering orders.
Create visually appealing displays and selling initiatives.
Able to provide customer service through in-person and telephone interaction.
Ensures all established company food safety and sanitation programs are maintained.
Able to work closely with others in food preparation.
Able to direct people and food production in a fast paced, high-volume production kitchen.
Assistant Deli Manager Background Profile:
High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 18 years of age required.
Two or more years of food preparation experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Food Handler certification required.
Ability to read and follow recipes.
Ability to safely operate and maintain equipment such as grill, deep fryer, pressure cooker, etc.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Understand and monitor established company and government agency regulations.

Mike Cook or as he is known in the industry "Grocery Store Mike", is a specialized grocery retail recruiter for Frontline Source Group. With more than 35+ years in the grocery retail industry, Mike started as a part-time courtesy clerk. He worked his way up to serve in-store leadership positions with both traditional and specialty food formats. The later certification was in collaboration with the Western Association of Food Chains. And, he has received numerous awards and accolades for customer service and leadership.
Mike has a passion for community service, having served as a board member for the Bear Creek Specialty Utility District (formerly Lavon Water Supply Corporation) from 2007-2013; Community Independent School District board trustee from 2013-2017; and currently serves as Lavon City Councilman, Place 2 since 2017.
