Job Description
Our client in the Grand Prairie, TX area immediately needs an Assistant Controller on a Direct Hire basis with excellent benefits!
Company Profile:

Assistant Controller role:
The Assistant Controller will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of accounting as well as financial statements, budget analysis cash and investment accounts tax returns, and audits.
Preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements for several entitiesÂ
Assist with the annual budgeting process
Prepare Commission calculations
Reconcile balance sheets weekly, cash, and investments on a daily basis
Oversee payroll and 401k compliance and calculations
Partner with outside agencies to assist in annual audits; prepare audit papers and annual tax returns
Hire, lead, mentor, and train, accounting and payroll departments

Assistant Controller Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
CPA with Audit and construction accounting experience is required
7+years of Accounting and construction industry with at least 2 years of public audit experience
Advanced in MS ExcelÂ
Experienced working in construction accounting with ASC 606
Must be a self-starter who takes initiative and works well with others
