Assistant Controller
Our client in Kay County, OK has an immediate need for an Assistant Controller on a direct hire basis.

Assistant Controller Role:
As an Assistant Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing various accounting functions to ensure accuracy and compliance. Your responsibilities will encompass managing accounting processes, maintaining financial records, and supporting regulatory requirements. 
Preparing financial statements, assisting with audits, and handling special reports.
Monitor cash and credit balances and provide backup support to other accounting staff.
Oversee and support accounting activities to ensure accurate recording of business transactions.
Maintain and update inventory records.
Responsible to bank accounts, transfer of funds between accounts and bank reconciliations. 
Manage and file necessary industry, state, and federal reports, taxes, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and analyze financial statements to provide insights into the company’s financial status and forecasts.
Assist in preparing tax returns, facilitating audits, profit and loss statements, assets and depreciation.
Generate various special reports as requested.
Monitor cash and credit balances, providing necessary documentation to maintain creditor relationships.
Provide support in areas such as payroll, accounts payable, and fuel invoicing as needed.
Ensure compliance with legal guidelines and established accounting principles.
Maintain strict confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.

Assistant Controller Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
At least five years of experience in accounting and understanding of GAAP.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skill and experience working in accounting software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of clientele including internal and external staff or team members.
Expertise in accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Effective time management with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Capable of working independently while coordinating effectively with team members and other organizations.
