Assistant Controller Role:
Support the Controller in the financial and operational strategy for tremendous growth
Prepare and consolidate financial statements
Hands-on role in supporting the company's finance function
The financial team will create and maintain internal controls and policies
Provide monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses
Coordinate and assist with the budget process
Participate in accounting close processes
Assist with general ledger accounting activities
Work closely with operations on cost accounting activities
Ensure strict compliance both company and regulatory standards
Prepare and assist with audits
Ad-hoc reporting, special projects and other duties as needed
Assistant Controller Background Profile:
3- 5 years of GAAP accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or food processing
Must have a degree in accounting, finance, or in a related field
Degree must come from a well reputable 4-year college, no on-line degrees
Must be CPA eligible or have a CPA
Must currently hold one of the following titles: Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or Assistant Controller
This is an in office position
Must have a steady work history
Ideally experience in calculating Cost of Goods or Product Costing
Strong computer skills and knowledge of accounting software programs
