Growing client in Knoxville, TN has a need for an Area Director on a direct hire basis.
Area Director Role:
The Area Director will be responsible for all the operational functions of planning, directing, coordinating, organizing and implementing processes and programs that ensure that clients are being provided excellent standard of care and all state licensing standards and contract obligations are being met.
Responsible to ensure that all personnel are operating in a highly professional manner and are skilled and trained to meet company standards.
Work with State Program Director to develop and implement policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Responsible for overseeing recruitment process including hiring, training and supervision of Case Management and administrative staff and contracted service providers.
Responsible to direct and motivate staff and contractors.
Ensure implementation of program models.
Responsible for promotion and growth of the region and the monitoring of Key Success Indicators for program trends and performance, as well as develop performance metrics and measure performance.
Conduct staff meetings and communicate and develop staff.
Supervise, facilitate and participate in the assessment and admission process.
Oversee and supervise the delivery of services to clients and act as an advocate for each.
Monitor the programs including buildings, grounds, staff, children, vehicles, etc.
Intervene as needed in crisis situations.
Provide direction to program managers and case managers regarding consultation services to families based on service delivery plan.
Ensure that therapists/case managers and contractors complete all assigned duties and maintain adequate and timely records.
Responsible to ensure all clients are treated and taken care of in a highly professional manner, and responsible for preventing abuse of clients by following screening requirements, attending training, communicating expectations, ensuring accountability for policy violations, conducting investigations, and preparing reports.
Keep past and current records, and maintain historical HR records with a filing and retrieval system.
Development of the annual budget to ensure program success and provide oversight for the region.
Develop policies and procedures for programs.
Facilitate program/operational guidelines for program and staff.
Highly important to develop and maintain effective and strong working relationships between the company staff and various groups including law enforcement officials, judicial officials, legal resources, medical professionals and community resources.
Area Director Background Profile:
Bachelor’ s Degree in Social Services, Child Development, Psychology or related field
Master’ s degree in related field preferred
5+ years’ experience working in the Adult IDD industry
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership/management skills, and have a more tactical/operational approach than strategic.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
Proven ability to develop, implement and deliver effective learning and development programs
Budgeting and planning
Conflict resolution and Regulatory Compliance
Building and leading teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
