Job Description
Our client located in Dallas, TX is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist. This is anticipated to be 2 month contract opportunity that will be based in-office.

Accounts Payable Specialist Role:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for verifying uncashed checks and re-issue checks to ensure payment is received.
Adhere to the company's accounts payable procedures for processing check payments
Verify whether issued checks have or have not been cleared
Issue a stop payment request on uncashed checks based on issue date
Document all stop payment checks in the tracking spreadsheet
Verify client account information and address are up to date
When appropriate issue a new check and document in the tracking spreadsheet
and submit requests
Maintain and update the business tracking spreadsheet to reflect the status of requests, approvals, and issued checks.
Accounts Payable Specialist Background Profile:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or bookkeeping
Proficiency in Excel and strong data management skills
Must have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to work independently with very little management
