Job Description
Our client in Channelview, Texas is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist on a contract to hire basis.

Accounts Payable Specialist Role
The accounts payable specialist will process all payables by monitoring mail, emails, and credit cards for payables to validate all invoices received for a respective period have been entered and accounted for as well as distributing invoices for coding and approval
Enter invoices, code and post vendor invoices accurately and timely
File, maintain, and distribute accounting documents, records, and reports
Ensure payments are distributed internally or mailed accordingly
Respond to all vendor inquiries via phone or email as well as maintain internal and external relationships with vendors and employees and assist them in solving AP issues
Accounts Payable Specialist Background Profile:
High school diploma
Minimum of 2 years working knowledge and experience in daily A/P, preferably in construction
Sage experience is a plus
Experience working in an ERP System is a plus
Job Costing experience a plus
Must be proficient in Excel (ability to comfortably use V-lookup, pivot and other functions)
Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
Good understanding of basic accounting principles and ability to code G/L accounts properly
Willing to work overtime when needed.
