Accounting Manager
Job Description
Our client in Humble, TX is seeking either a Senior Accountant ready to make the next move in their career or a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Manager who thrives in a hands-on environment and is eager to take full ownership of the accounting function within a growing business. This is an in person, direct hire opportunity.

Accounting Manager Role:
Oversee and manage all day-to-day accounting functions for a growing, owner-led construction and manufacturing business
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, reconciliations, and expense tracking
Handle full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, bill pay, and credit card expense management
Ensure all financial data is properly recorded and organized to support external CPA and tax preparation
Monitor cash flow and provide visibility into company spending and financial position
Identify and correct discrepancies, improving accuracy and reliability of financial reporting
Implement and improve accounting processes, systems, and overall financial organization
Partner directly with ownership to provide insight, recommendations, and operational support
Take ownership of the accounting function with minimal oversight in a fast-moving environment
Accounting Manager Background Profile:
5+ years of hands-on accounting experience, including full-cycle bookkeeping
Strong experience managing accounts payable, expenses, and general ledger activity
Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software required
Experience working in a small to mid-sized business or owner-led environment preferred
Ability to independently manage and organize accounting processes with limited structure
Strong attention to detail with a track record of maintaining accurate financial records
Experience identifying and resolving accounting issues or inefficiencies
Construction, manufacturing, or project-based accounting experience is a plus
CPA or advanced accounting certification is a plus but not required
Practical, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to take initiative and “figure things out”
