Accounting Manager Role:
The Accounting Manager will oversee the operations of the accounting department staff.
Oversee all aspects of general ledger accounting.
Ensure accurate completion of month-end closings.
Timely payment of accounts payable and prompt collection of accounts receivable.
Conduct periodic bank reconciliations.
Ensure timely debt payments.
Maintain the chart of accounts and orderly accounting filing system.
Implement controls over accounting transactions and records.
Analyze budget variances and report significant issues to management.
Manage corporate cash and treasury functions.
Handle invoicing and receivables collection.
Document accounting processes and procedures.
Assist business teams with payment processing.
Supervise outsourced functions.
Manage the unclaimed property escheatment process.
Oversee client loan reserve accounting and overage release.
Identify and implement operational efficiencies to reduce expenses and increase revenue.
Provide financial analyses as required.
Accounting Manager Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
5 years of managerial or senior-level accounting experience.
Proficiency in full-cycle accounting including transaction posting and financial reporting.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word Outlook and advanced Excel.
Preferred experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
