Job Description
Our client, a growing PE-backed Financial Services client in the Fort Worth area is looking for their Controller. This role is a succession planning role and will take over the CFO slot in the next few years.

CFO and Controller will have a mentor/mentee relationship
Controller Role:
The Controller will oversee the operations of the Accounting Department, which includes the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, account analysis and payroll functions.
Will start off as an individual contributor but will eventually build out the team
Oversees the production of financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
Assists with the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
Works with external auditors and provides needed information for audits.
Responsible for quarterly and annual tax filings.
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
Controller Background Profile:
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance, masters preferred
Active CPA license is preferred
Strong tenure in previous positions
Exceptional excel acumen required
7+ years of experience with strong familiarity in financial services preferred
Believes in a servant leader mentality and wants to join an organization with a strong culture
